The nine stationary bells, spanning an octave plus one note from E flat to F, are used by the bell-ringers to play a variety of musical selections, from "The Mountains" to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." The Legacy of the Rings: The Story Behind the Story The Legacy of the Rings: The Story Behind the Story The Lord of the Rings, one of the most celebrated and influential work of the twentieth century, also has one of the most fascinating stories behind its creation. Sean Pegado '11 speaks with Wayne Hammond and Christina Scull, two of the world's leading Tolkien scholars, and discusses their experiences studying Tolkien and his works.

Winter Study '09 Part 1: The Great Depression Winter Study '09 Part 1: The Great Depression One of the most interesting aspects of the Williams academic year is the month-long term dedicated to giving students a chance to take unique courses not offered during regular semesters.
